MQM-P Broke Up With Pm Imran Khan
In a report published on Wednesday, the MQM-P, a longstanding supporter of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf-led coalition government, said that it will join the opposition ahead of a vote of no-confidence in Prime Minister Imran Khan scheduled for Thursday.

According to a copy of Naseem’s resignation letter, which was released on Dawn.com, the MQM-P leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui had told him to resign from his position as federal minister for law.
Mr. Haque, the minister of information technology and telecommunications, said in his letter of resignation that he felt “limited by my party’s policies as a responsible worker” while serving in the government of Pakistan.
“Because of the conduct of my political party, the MQM, I have resigned from my position as federal minister for information technology and telecommunications. P’s I humbly implore you (the prime minister) to please comply.“
He expressed his “pride in carrying out my responsibilities honestly.“
Shortly after, he expressed the same attitude in a video message that was shared on social media sites.
“The MQM-leader, P’s Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, called a meeting of the party’s coordination committee to approve the agreement reached with the opposition and the resignation of the ministers in question. We will begin a new chapter in our efforts to promote the economic development of urban Sindh in the near future.” This was stated by Haque in a later video message that he delivered.

MQM-P Late Night Meeting With Oppoition On Tuesday
There was quite a stir in the city on Tuesday night when the ruling party had a late-night meeting with opposition leaders, and many people were excitedly monitoring their televisions for updates.
Early in the morning, an opposition group led by Khawaja Asif, Sherry Rehman, Naveed Qalmar, Ayaz Sadiq Akhtar Mengal, and others arrived to Parliament Lodges, where they met with Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and other members of the government.
During a meeting with them on Tuesday night and into the early hours of Wednesday morning, Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, the MQM’s convener, and other officials were there.
The primary opposition group, which comprised Asif Ali Zardari and his son Bilawal, as well as Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Shehbaz Sharif, made an effort to persuade the government’s ally to shift his allegiance.
Despite the opposition’s best efforts, the MQM-P said that their pick will be made public the next day, at a time when the opposition was seeking to force the party to make an announcement.
MQM-P Senator Faisal Subzwari sent a tweet early on Wednesday morning saying that an agreement had been struck between his party and the opposition.

PPP and MQM-P leaders discussed a potential agreement on Sindh’s administrative and local government matters in the presence of the parties’ senior executives, according to sources who were present at the meeting.
One credible source claims that not only does the PPP support the deal, but also all other political parties. If the agreement is approved by the coordination committee, Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Shehbaz would see to it that it is carried out.
A no-trust vote slated for April 3 will decide whether PM Imran’s government survives or not. The MQM-P, a key partner of the PTI (which has seven members in the National Assembly), will be the deciding factor in whether or not PM Imran’s administration survives.
On Monday, Prime Minister Imran Khan approved Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi’s nomination as the PTI’s candidate for Punjab chief minister in exchange for the PML-support Q’s for the embattled leader. Usman Buzdar had offered his resignation to the prime minister earlier in the day.
In addition, the PTI government is reliant on the PML-Q, which has 10 seats in Punjab and five seats in the federal parliament, to maintain power. As a result of Chaudhry’s support for Imran Khan, the chances for his administration have improved.

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail said to the media that Khlid Maqbool Siddiqui and his family had received a message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “An announcement is likely to be made in the early hours of Wednesday morning,” the team said.
According to Ismail, the government’s attempts to address the concerns of the party had been successful. “We had previously offered them a job in one of our ministries […]. When they ask for more, we will provide it to them regardless of the circumstances.”
He went on to say that the government’s doors and hearts were wide open for the party to come in. “We will make adjustments in whichever manner they choose.”
However, it seemed that the administration was not through with its negotiations with the MQM-P at this point. The PTI’s Faisal Vawda said in a tweet on Wednesday that he had returned to Islamabad from Karachi as a result of the prime minister’s instructions.
Along with Pervez Khattak and Imran Ismail, he would be a member of the government delegation for discussions with the MQM delegation, according to the minister of state for foreign affairs.
